Just activated my new sim. It is Red 120GB plan. I was watching Sky on my mobile and decided to download and watch later. It doesn't download, I just get "download queued". If I use my other sim (either 3 or Talkmobile) it downloads. Must be something in settings but can't figure it out.
Hey there @davesfireblade - I wonder you have your downloads 'paused'? (This is what I found in regards to Sky Q by doing a bit of Googling so it might be slightly different on Sky Mobile). Could you try going to Recordings from the Home screen, then Manage and then select Manage and then select Downloading:

Yes, I can download with other apps so looks like a problem with sky go app. No updates due. Nothing on sky go app in settings regarding mobile network. Phone settings are set to allow download via sim. All very strange.
Hey @davesfireblade, if you're able to download when connected to WiFi, it sounds like there's no problems with storage on your device. So the next thing to check would be the download settings on the app. You can do this by going to settings and then the Download Settings tab. You should then be able to allow downloads over a mobile connection.
Thanks for the reply. The settings are fine. The app itself doesn't give options regarding mobile data, but when I go to seerings/apps/sky go/mobile data it shows I have used mobile data while streaming. This is what's confusing. It will let me stream over mobile network but not download.

I've taken a look into this and looking at the information I've found online, you'll need Sky Go Extra to download shows to laptops, mobiles and tablets. I've checked out Sky's online help and can see there's a step by step guide to getting set up for downloading via a mobile connection. I've been using Sky Go for years. What is strange is that when I was using my old sim card (3 mobile) I was able to download. Now I have inserted my Vodafone sim in doesn't record but allows me to stream.
FWIW, and I don't think it's the same issue, but downloads on BBC iPlayer fail (silently) for me if I'm using a VPN. If it was that, I'd expect it to fail on any network and wifi as well, but it might be something to consider???
I have managed to change settings in the Netflix and Prime video apps to allow download over mobile network and both work. I presume the problem is with the Sky Go app rather than any network settings. I have messaged their support and awaiting response.
@Me+and+him it sounds like you have a download that hasn't fully downloaded for 1 reason or another go into recordings and check for any recordings that are either showing a percentage of being downloaded or are showing as failed ,if you have any delete them.
When I try to download a programme from the Sky app to my Sky Q box, it gets stuck in Queued and never downloads.
